York is a city of terraces pressed close together, Bishophill and the Groves inside and against the walls, South Bank and off Bishopthorpe Road beyond them, and they are precisely the houses the upright piano was invented for, if you can get it through the hall. Acomb and Dringhouses bring the semis, Haxby, Wigginton and Strensall the modern growth, and the centre brings foot-streets and flats in old buildings.
That fixed Thursday is the whole reason this costs £10 a week rather than £30. We are not making a special trip to York, we are already there, so you get the van at route cost instead of one-off cost. Pick whichever Thursday suits you when you book.

Terrace deliveries: hall width, any step at the door, and the parking reality of your street, permits and tight corners included, that is the whole briefing. Inside the walls the foot-street hours decide our timing, early or late, and some lanes mean a longer trolley walk, all plannable. Converted buildings need the floor-and-staircase conversation. The outer estates are level, modern and plain-price.
Stairs are £99 per floor, and that covers carrying it up now and back down at the end. A lift only removes the charge if it is about 1.2 metres deep, because the piano travels standing on its end.
