Wilmslow is Cheshire's easy mode: detached houses on drives, wide doors, level plots, from the Edwardian spreads off Fulshaw Park to the modern closes everywhere else. Most deliveries are the plain price and a conversation about which room gets the piano. Handforth adds post-war family streets and Styal adds a National Trust mill village, compact cottage rows with considerably more history per doorway.
That fixed Tuesday is the whole reason this costs £10 a week rather than £30. We are not making a special trip to Wilmslow, we are already there, so you get the van at route cost instead of one-off cost. Pick whichever Tuesday suits you when you book.
Handforth, Styal and Lacey Green are all SK9 and all on the same Tuesday run at the same price as Wilmslow.
In Wilmslow proper the main things worth a note are long gravel drives and any flat above the ground floor, the town-centre apartment blocks live by the lift rule. Styal's cottages are small, lovely and solvable with a sentence about the door. Handforth and Lacey Green are straightforward. If the piano is for a child at one of the music-heavy schools nearby, join the club, half our Cheshire rentals are.
Stairs are £99 per floor, and that covers carrying it up now and back down at the end. A lift only removes the charge if it is about 1.2 metres deep, because the piano travels standing on its end.
