Wallingford still sits inside its Saxon street grid, which means the old centre is compact, level and walkable, with Georgian fronts along St Mary's Street and the Market Place. Levelness is the underrated gift here: barely a hill in town, so the only questions are doorways and halls, never slopes. Outside the grid the town is twentieth-century family housing without complications.
That fixed Saturday is the whole reason this costs £10 a week rather than £30. We are not making a special trip to Wallingford, we are already there, so you get the van at route cost instead of one-off cost. Pick whichever Saturday suits you when you book.
Cholsey, Berinsfield, Benson and Dorchester are all OX10, and all of them share Wallingford's Saturday run at the same price.
Centre deliveries sometimes involve a step at the door or a hall that turns immediately, both solvable and both worth a line in the notes. Cholsey and Berinsfield are mostly modern and simple, and Dorchester-on-Thames is a village of older cottages where the Cirencester rule applies, tell us what the doorway is like and we will bring the right plan. Nothing in OX10 scares a two-man piano crew.
Stairs are £99 per floor, and that covers carrying it up now and back down at the end. A lift only removes the charge if it is about 1.2 metres deep, because the piano travels standing on its end.
