Tunbridge Wells was built on hills by people who loved a flight of steps, and it is the town where our stair charge works hardest. Mount Sion and Mount Ephraim mean what they say, and the tall Victorian villas on the slopes are now very often flats, which stacks the two questions together: how many front steps, and is there a lift. The flatter answer is Southborough and the newer streets, where deliveries calm right down.
That fixed Wednesday is the whole reason this costs £10 a week rather than £30. We are not making a special trip to Tunbridge Wells, we are already there, so you get the van at route cost instead of one-off cost. Pick whichever Wednesday suits you when you book.
Southborough, Rusthall, Pembury, Langton Green and Groombridge span TN1 to TN4, all on the same Wednesday run at the same price.
If you are in a converted villa, we need the floor number and the lift situation before we can price honestly, £99 per flight otherwise, carrying up now and down at the end. If you are on the slopes around the Pantiles or Mount Sion, count the outside steps too. None of this is a warning, we deliver here every week, it is just the town's shape. Rusthall and Pembury behave like normal villages.
Stairs are £99 per floor, and that covers carrying it up now and back down at the end. A lift only removes the charge if it is about 1.2 metres deep, because the piano travels standing on its end.
