Oakham is England's smallest county town and a piano crew can walk its whole historic centre in ten minutes: castle, Buttercross, stone cottages around the market place. Around that core the town is mostly twentieth-century and newer, with Barleythorpe's growth adding modern streets every year. Uppingham, the county's other town, is also LE15, so one page covers both and so does one Monday run.
That fixed Monday is the whole reason this costs £10 a week rather than £30. We are not making a special trip to Oakham, we are already there, so you get the van at route cost instead of one-off cost. Pick whichever Monday suits you when you book.
Uppingham, Empingham and Langham are all LE15 and all on the same Monday run at the same price as Oakham.
Centre cottages carry the standard stone-town questions, a low door here, a step there, nothing a note cannot solve. The modern streets and Barleythorpe are level, wide and plain-price. Uppingham's centre is tighter than Oakham's, its ironstone terraces open close to the street, so the parking plan matters there. The villages, Empingham, Langham and the rest, are Rutland stone at its friendliest.
Stairs are £99 per floor, and that covers carrying it up now and back down at the end. A lift only removes the charge if it is about 1.2 metres deep, because the piano travels standing on its end.
