Marlow is a Georgian High Street running down to the suspension bridge, with the town's real housing spread behind it. The West Street and St Peter Street end has listed fronts and the sort of halls that need a moment's thought. Marlow Bottom, a long valley of sixties to eighties family houses, and the streets off Little Marlow Road are where most pianos actually go, and they go in easily.
That fixed Wednesday is the whole reason this costs £10 a week rather than £30. We are not making a special trip to Marlow, we are already there, so you get the van at route cost instead of one-off cost. Pick whichever Wednesday suits you when you book.
Marlow Bottom, Little Marlow and Medmenham all sit in SL7 and share the same Wednesday run at the same price as Marlow.
Marlow Bottom is ground-floor simple, as are most of the post-war streets. In the old centre the usual Georgian questions apply: a step up from the pavement, a hall that turns early, sometimes a basement light-well to work around. None of it stops an upright, it just decides how many blankets and which angle. Riverside flats are lift-depth territory, 1.2 metres and the stair charge disappears.
Stairs are £99 per floor, and that covers carrying it up now and back down at the end. A lift only removes the charge if it is about 1.2 metres deep, because the piano travels standing on its end.
