Ilkley climbs from the Wharfe up towards the Moor, and the climb is the delivery story: the Victorian villas and stone terraces south of the centre gain height street by street, and the roads up to the Moor edge are genuinely steep. North of the river and along the valley floor it flattens out. The villas are generous inside, many now flats, so the lift-and-floor questions travel with the postcode.
That fixed Thursday is the whole reason this costs £10 a week rather than £30. We are not making a special trip to Ilkley, we are already there, so you get the van at route cost instead of one-off cost. Pick whichever Thursday suits you when you book.
Addingham, Burley in Wharfedale and Menston are all LS29, on the same Thursday run at the same price as Ilkley.
South-side addresses: tell us the street and count the front steps, the gradient decides where we park and which crew comes. Converted villas need floor and lift depth before we can price. The stone terraces off Leeds Road are tight-halled but routine with the slim trolley. Addingham, Burley in Wharfedale and Menston are the same stone in gentler country and rarely complicated.
Stairs are £99 per floor, and that covers carrying it up now and back down at the end. A lift only removes the charge if it is about 1.2 metres deep, because the piano travels standing on its end.
