Harrogate is solid Victorian stone built around the Stray's two hundred acres of grass, and the villas near the centre are tall, handsome and very often converted into flats, which brings floor numbers and lift depths into the booking. The Duchy estate's stone houses are vast and rarely troubled by a mere upright. Bilton, Jennyfields and the newer streets deliver like any modern suburb.
That fixed Thursday is the whole reason this costs £10 a week rather than £30. We are not making a special trip to Harrogate, we are already there, so you get the van at route cost instead of one-off cost. Pick whichever Thursday suits you when you book.

Flat conversions around the centre and Valley Gardens: floor and lift first, then everything else is easy. Cold Bath Road and the west side tilt enough to mention, count any front steps. Stone terraces off Kings Road and Skipton Road are classic pavement-fronted piano streets with permit parking. HG3 stretches to Pateley Bridge and proper Nidderdale, where the farmhouse question is the track, tell us about the last hundred metres.
Stairs are £99 per floor, and that covers carrying it up now and back down at the end. A lift only removes the charge if it is about 1.2 metres deep, because the piano travels standing on its end.
