Your delivery day
Frome's old quarter is seventeenth-century artisan terraces on a hill, and Catherine Hill itself is cobbled, pedestrianised and steep, which makes it the single most interesting address on our Friday run. Trinity's rows are some of the oldest industrial housing in the country, compact and characterful. The rest of Frome spreads out in Victorian streets and modern estates that behave perfectly normally.
That fixed Friday is the whole reason this costs £10 a week rather than £30. We are not making a special trip to Frome, we are already there, so you get the van at route cost instead of one-off cost. Pick whichever Friday suits you when you book.
Beckington and the BA11 villages share Frome's Friday run at the same price as the town.
If you are on Catherine Hill or in the pedestrian lanes, the piano walks the last stretch on the trolley, we park as close as the hill allows and plan it with you, it is genuinely fine and we have done it before. Trinity doorways can be low and halls short, two sentences in the notes set us up. Elsewhere, including Beckington and the villages, expect the plain price and an uneventful afternoon.
Stairs are £99 per floor, and that covers carrying it up now and back down at the end. A lift only removes the charge if it is about 1.2 metres deep, because the piano travels standing on its end.
