Your delivery day
Faringdon is about as local as it gets for us. Our piano store is at Longcot, which is an SN7 postcode itself, roughly three miles from the Market Place. If you are in Faringdon the piano does not travel far to reach you, and it does not travel far to come back.
That fixed Saturday is the whole reason this costs £10 a week rather than £30. We are not making a special trip to Faringdon, we are already there, so you get the van at route cost instead of one-off cost. Pick whichever Saturday suits you when you book.
We also cover the villages on the same Saturday run, so Stanford in the Vale, Uffington, Buckland, Longcot, Shrivenham, Fernham and Little Coxwell are all the same price and the same day as Faringdon itself.
The town centre has a good number of stone cottages with narrow front doors and steep, turning staircases, and an upright will not always go through one without being stood on its end and worked round the newel post. We do this constantly and it is usually fine, but tell us in the notes if you are in one of the older places near the Market Place or up towards London Street so we send the right pair. The post-war estates and the newer builds out towards Park Road are straightforward ground-floor deliveries.
Stairs are £99 per floor, and that covers carrying it up now and back down at the end. A lift only removes the charge if it is about 1.2 metres deep, because the piano travels standing on its end.
