Cambridge off the postcard is a city of Victorian terraces, Romsey and Petersfield along Mill Road, Newnham's Edwardian streets, the rows off Histon and Milton Roads, and they share a character: front door near the pavement, bikes in the hall, and a front room that fits an upright exactly. Arbury and King's Hedges add post-war streets, and the station quarter adds new flats where lift depth matters.
That fixed Tuesday is the whole reason this costs £10 a week rather than £30. We are not making a special trip to Cambridge, we are already there, so you get the van at route cost instead of one-off cost. Pick whichever Tuesday suits you when you book.
Romsey, Petersfield, Newnham, Chesterton, Arbury, Trumpington, Girton and Teversham span CB1 to CB5, one Tuesday run, one price.
Terrace deliveries here hinge on honesty about the hall, how wide, whose bikes, and any step at the door, plus the parking reality, most of these streets are permit-zoned and tight, so we will agree where the van stands. New-build flats follow the lift rule, 1.2 metres deep or the stair charge applies per floor. Girton, Teversham and the edge villages behave like villages anywhere, one descriptive sentence does it.
Stairs are £99 per floor, and that covers carrying it up now and back down at the end. A lift only removes the charge if it is about 1.2 metres deep, because the piano travels standing on its end.
