Your delivery day
Bradford-on-Avon stacks its weavers' cottages up the north slope in terraces with names like Tory and Middle Rank, and some of those rows are reached only on foot, by the paths and steps between the levels. It is the most vertical town we serve and we say that with affection. The valley floor by the bridge and the streets towards Winsley and the station are level and far more conventional.
That fixed Friday is the whole reason this costs £10 a week rather than £30. We are not making a special trip to Bradford-on-Avon, we are already there, so you get the van at route cost instead of one-off cost. Pick whichever Friday suits you when you book.
Winsley, Westwood and Monkton Farleigh are all BA15 and all on the same Friday run at the same price as Bradford itself.
For the hillside terraces, tell us exactly where a van can stop and how many steps lie between it and your door, and we will bring a three-person crew if the climb calls for it, priced with you beforehand rather than sprung on the day. Everything at river level is normal work. Winsley and Westwood are village deliveries with the usual cottage questions, doorway, step, stair turn.
Stairs are £99 per floor, and that covers carrying it up now and back down at the end. A lift only removes the charge if it is about 1.2 metres deep, because the piano travels standing on its end.
