Beaconsfield is two towns a mile apart. The Old Town is Georgian coaching-inn country with broad frontages that mostly take a piano kindly. The New Town, which grew around the station from 1906, is Edwardian and inter-war family housing on generous plots, wide halls, proper doorways, and in most of it the hardest decision is which wall the piano lives on.
That fixed Wednesday is the whole reason this costs £10 a week rather than £30. We are not making a special trip to Beaconsfield, we are already there, so you get the van at route cost instead of one-off cost. Pick whichever Wednesday suits you when you book.
Jordans, Seer Green and Holtspur are all HP9 and arrive on the same Wednesday at the same price as Beaconsfield.
This is one of the easiest towns on our Wednesday run. Detached and semi-detached houses with drives dominate, so the plain delivery price is the normal outcome. The exceptions are the flats around Penn Road and the station, where the lift rule applies, and a handful of older cottages in the Old Town with a step at the door. Seer Green and Jordans have some Arts and Crafts houses with quirky layouts, which we treat as a pleasure rather than a problem.
Stairs are £99 per floor, and that covers carrying it up now and back down at the end. A lift only removes the charge if it is about 1.2 metres deep, because the piano travels standing on its end.
