Bath is the most beautiful awkward piano city in Britain. Georgian terraces climb the hills in crescents, which means raised pavements, basement areas, steps up to porticos, and a serious share of homes that are now flats inside listed buildings. We deliver here every week and love it, but it is the one city where we price more carefully from your answers, because the stairs are real and so are the vaults.
That fixed Friday is the whole reason this costs £10 a week rather than £30. We are not making a special trip to Bath, we are already there, so you get the van at route cost instead of one-off cost. Pick whichever Friday suits you when you book.
Batheaston, Bathford, Combe Down, Odd Down, Peasedown St John and Freshford all fall in BA1 and BA2, one Friday run, one price.
Three facts decide a Bath delivery: how many steps from pavement to front door, which floor the piano lives on, and whether any lift is 1.2 metres deep. Lansdown, Bathwick Hill and Widcombe all tilt hard, and parking needs thought on the terraced streets, we will plan it with you. The flatter easier Bath exists too, Oldfield Park's terraces, Combe Down, Peasedown St John, where deliveries are perfectly ordinary.
Stairs are £99 per floor, and that covers carrying it up now and back down at the end. A lift only removes the charge if it is about 1.2 metres deep, because the piano travels standing on its end.
